Erin is a senior at Bayside Academy and attends 3Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama. She plays Varsity Softball, is an FCA leader and president of the Key Club. Erin plans on studying biomedical engineering and global health at Duke University next fall.

Trent Black, married to Kaylea Black, is a recent graduate of Pensacola State Community College with an Associates degree in Culinary management. His interests include cooking, football, ultimate frisbee and singing. Trent has been to Africa twice and is part of a home church that meets in Silverhill, Alabama.

“AJ” is a 17 year old senior at Spanish Fort High School. He is on the Championship Varsity Football Team, Varsity Track and is part of the SFHS Drama Club. He is active in his church, Latter Reign Worship Center in Daphne, Alabama and serves on the worship team. Outside of church and school, he loves to write songs and is a recording artist.

Kaylea Black has a Bachelors degree in Communications and is fluent in sign language. She loves reading, being outside and hanging out at the beach. Kaylea has been to Africa twice as well as served on mission teams to Honduras and Costa Rica. Kaylea, and her husband Trent, asked for donations for their mission trips to Africa instead of wedding gifts. She has a heart for her community and is a vital part of a Silverhill, Alabama home church.

Jay Robinson is a web designer with 17 plus years of experience. He was swept up in the whirlwind that is Maji:Hope from its inception. While he has not yet been on a trip, he is keeping his options and heart open for the right timing. When asked what he likes to do in his spare time, it usually involves his wife, children, or dog. (Never does he do anything with his cat, she is fairly stand-offish.) Jay loves a good story, and admits that the Brodie Bunch usually has some of the best. He recommends that you come listen.
